Maaseudun Tulevaisuus: the inventor's shredder that turned 17 outbuildings into chips

Finnish rural newspaper Maaseudun Tulevaisuus wrote about recycling at FinnMetko and featured Säpälex, which was launched at the fair. According to Simo Aitto-oja, the idea came from a growing pile of worn-out pallets in his own yard. The article describes how the machine shreds pallets and demolition wood, separates nails with a magnet and takes in stacked pallets one after another without manual work. With the prototype, Aitto-oja shredded 17 old buildings from his own farmyard.
